Sins of an Empire
This review is based on the PS4 version, Fallen Legion: Sins of an Empire. The game is an RPG you can play in short sessions and it has a fun battle system. You spend most of your time in the game in battles.
The game has you command a small army to fight for your kingdom nd on PlayStation 4, players get to play Princess Cecille of the Fenumian Empire, who just inherited the role of emperor and must fight General Legatus Laendur, a traitor and leader of a rebellion.
The way the story is told in Fallen Legion: Sins of an Empire is okay, but not my favorite as it just drops you into the middle of everything in my opinion. It is a very fast-paced game, and this works for the combat system but not so much the story.
The cutscenes tend to go back between the present and past times which throws me off quite a bit. The game itself is a 10-15 hour game play that you can either play for a short amount of time or a long amount of time.
Your choices do matter in Sins of an Empire and having to make a choice quick in battle just makes the game a bit more unique and not a game that felt like a clone other game titles. The choices really make the game. Choices reward you and stories differ depending on your choices that you make.
It’s really not my kind of video game. Although I do appreciate the fact that I can squeeze a few minutes into the game and still progress in the story, the story itself isn’t all that great, the visuals aren’t all that great. Overall it just really rubbed me the wrong way.
